Description: We
will explore advanced techniques that are commonly
used to create jewelry; including: forging, casting,
and fabricating a hollow form. Projects may be
any piece of jewelry (earrings pendant, cufflinks, brooch,
etc.) or small scale sculpture. Students will have
the opportunity to work with materials that aren’t
as commonly used as silver and base metals, for
example: Argentium Silver, Platinum Silver,
Bi-Metal,
Reticulation Silver, and/or Japanese alloys.
**This class is designed for those who have basic metalsmithing skills (this class may be taken prior to Intermediate Jewelry; however, experience equivalent to that gained by taking Basic Jewelry is required).
Requirements: Intermediate Jewelry or equivalent experience
