Chain Mail Workshop

Instructor:           Patrick Ober

Description:         Join the accomplished armor maker and local metal                        artist, Patrick Ober for a day of history and fun as                        you enter the world of chain mail.  Students will                        learn pattern creation (European, Japanese and                        Persian) and explore finishing ideas, as will                        as techniques for making jump rings. 

Requirements:     None. This workshop is open to all regardless
                       of experience level.

Cost:                     $150

Tools and Supplies required:
Two pair of flat nosed pliers (smooth jaws)
40-feet of 18-gauge wire
10-feet of 16 gauge wire
A piece of dark leather or felt, approx. 8 1/2" x 11" (A small dark colored hand towel will work as well)

Feel free to bring a lunch, or you can have lunch delivered from a local take out.
